My first attempt at digital painting/coloring my artwork. Something I've been meaning to try for a while. Miles away from perfect. But I definitely learned a lot doing it. Practice makes perfect so I'm going to do some more soon :)

I was asked to produce a "high contrast" sketch as part of a submission and this is it.

I've been doing some poster work for the drama department of my old college. This is for a show called 'Back to the 80s". This is the art without the text added. I was told the story is a bit like Romeo and Juliet.

It's really nice to do little stuff like this between my comic pages. Just to do something a bit different. The girl is loosely based on Madonna

Pen Sketch I did tonight. US Soldiers...1950ish

Some new sketches

Gift Art: Jean-Claude from the Anita Blake series. Drawn with a blue line pencil inker with a PITT brush maker.

A quick warm up sketch of a school friend from way back. Pencil sketch. Flat photoshop color.

Some New Sketches

Here are some pages I did recently. Drawn in Adobe Illustrator. The project is kind of on hiatus for a while. Colors by Dean Welsh.

I've been busy working on a few different things. But here is some other work I've fitted in between projects covered by NDA. Commission for a band in the UK and a sketch of Spock. I'll try and post more often :)

This is a bit of an experiment. My first attempt at using adobe illustrator to ink over my pencils for a new project called "Ricochet" I am developing with UTF writer Will Wilson and Jason Stevens.

I received the greyscaled Hope:New Orleans from Andy Jewitt recently, I really like how it came out.

HOPE: New Orleans

A buddy of mine Thomas Mauer asked me last night if I'd do a pinup for Ronin-Studios charity book HOPE: New Orleans and this is what I came up with. Hope you like it

ANITA BLAKE FAN ART
Hey everyone, I've recently moved house and took a little time off of drawing getting all moved and settled. I whipped this up to shake off the cobwebs of my drawing hand. Hope you like it :)

Here are some pages from STREETWISE a project I'm working on with Paul D Storrie.

Something I did today just for fun :)

Here is a 4 page pitch I did for a friend of mine, belgian writer/artist Mauricet unfortunately it looks like I won't be working on the book. But at least it was fun to draw :) My first attempt at the french format.

Here is a piece I just finished for my friends Pete and Carla Moorcrfot who got married back in August. Was a lot of fun. But I need to get better at this coloring thing :)

So, It's finally been announced that Dabel Brothers Productions is an imprint of Marvel comics. YAY!!! A fancy logo slapped on the cover of 'Half Dead' the graphic novel I co-created with Barb Lien-Cooper and Park Cooper. This book has just been blessed, from the break down of speakeasy moving to DBPro and now to part of Marvel. I must have done something right.....once.

BEGINNINGS AND ENDS

I'm just putting the finishing touches to the "Half Dead" graphic novel co-created with Barb Lien-Cooper and Park Cooper http://www.halfdeadcomic.com. Meanwhile I just started work with Belgian writer/artist, Mauricet, on a new series. More information coming soon, here is a sketch of one of the main characters.
